Job description

About the company

Zippi’s purpose is to expand financial access for Brazil’s 22 million micro and small businesses with products designed around their day-to-day needs. The company was an early mover in using PIX as a credit platform, enabling small businesses to access working capital instantly. With a single tap, customers can cover business expenses and receive up to 10 days to repay, helping them maintain healthier cash flow.

Over the last four years, Zippi has reached profitability and entered a period of rapid growth. The company has already provided more than R$ 10 billion in credit to micro and small businesses across Brazil and is scaling to become a leading working-capital solution in the Brazilian market, which processes around R$ 3.5 trillion annually. By combining instant access, smooth integration and products built for practical business needs, Zippi aims to reshape how small businesses manage cash flow.

Its engine is a highly automated, data-driven credit infrastructure. Zippi processes large volumes of payments and credit data to manage risk assessment, credit release and collections at scale while maintaining strong unit economics. The full credit cycle is operated in-house and supported by advanced data science to make real-time, high-precision decisions.

Backed by investors such as Y Combinator and Tiger Global, the team is building a future where small businesses in Brazil can thrive. This is an opportunity to create meaningful impact at one of the fastest-growing startups in emerging markets, in a multi-billion-real space.

Role overview

The Risk team runs in a continuous experimentation loop, including the learning agenda for limit elasticity and pricing, expansion initiatives for marginal audiences such as Megatail, and the development of UW 2.0 alongside the Data Science team. Pricing is currently handled in a fragmented way, and credit guardrails for payment gamification and autopay are still to be structured. This role is designed to help shape that agenda.

The company is looking for a Business Analyst who can accelerate the pricing learning agenda with end-to-end ownership and make sure payment gamification is launched with the right risk controls in place.

What you will do

  • Own the pricing learning agenda by designing elasticity experiments, segmenting the audience, interpreting outcomes and recommending whether to expand a rollout.
  • Partner with Portfolio Management and Product to define payment gamification rules, including reward logic tied to behavior, eligibility criteria, anti-fraud guardrails and cohort-based impact measurement.
  • Support risk calibration for new products by adjusting risk appetite and credit policies based on debit-auto adoption.
  • Contribute to adjacent pricing initiatives, such as new segmentation efforts, whenever they affect pricing and profitability.
  • Run end-to-end tests, from hypothesis building and design to stakeholder alignment, implementation specs, monitoring and rollout recommendations.
  • Work with Data Science to prioritize and assess models that inform pricing decisions, translating business goals into clear success criteria.
  • Create analyses and decision-support materials for pricing and gamification, communicating clearly to both technical and business audiences, including senior leaders from other teams.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills and confidence working with large databases.
  • Hands-on experience leading price or risk-policy tests, including design, execution, interpretation and rollout recommendation.
  • Applied statistics for experimentation, including A/B tests, holdouts and significance testing.
  • Background in pricing, profitability, unit economics and payback analysis.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Ownership mindset and the ability to define project success metrics, not just execute assigned work.
  • Clear communication skills for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Python and familiarity with data versioning.
  • Preferred: Experience with credit models or alternative data sources such as Open Finance.
  • Preferred: Experience with incentive or gamification mechanisms in financial or consumer products.

Why join Zippi

You will be working on a mission that directly affects millions of Brazilian entrepreneurs and helps improve financial access in a huge, underserved market. The company also offers fast-paced learning, strategic problem-solving and the chance to work closely with founders and operators from top fintech companies in a team culture built on autonomy, collaboration and accountability.

Benefits

  • Compensation positioned in the upper range of the market.
  • Annual learning budget.
  • Health insurance fully paid by Zippi for the employee and dependents up to 18 years old; spouses or partners are covered at 50% of the monthly premium.
  • Childcare support for children up to 6 years old.
  • Meal allowance through Caju.
  • Flexible vacation policy.
  • Access to Wellhub and Zenklub.
  • 100% remote work.
