Job description

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a Creative Project Manager who will oversee the full operational lifecycle of high-visibility creative work within Enterprise Communications. The assignment is expected to run for 12 months and is based in Los Angeles/West Hollywood, with remote work as the default and occasional travel for designated events such as Seattle, Austin, and London. The role begins as soon as possible. Candidates must be set up as independent contractors on a W2 contract basis.

The position calls for a highly organized, proactive operator who understands design workflows and can drive creative projects from initial concept through final delivery. Acting as the main connection point between designers, business partners, and stakeholders, this person will help ensure briefs are clear, work stays aligned to the brand, and output moves efficiently across a complex organization. The role also supports stronger consistency in creative standards, improved tools and processes, and disciplined delivery across several simultaneous initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and triage design requests, then guide leadership on staffing, timing, and prioritization to help balance the overall workload.
  • Work with business stakeholders to turn requests into strong, actionable briefs by clarifying missing details and aligning expectations with creative standards.
  • Act as the main contact for multiple project tracks, managing project coordination, representing design requirements, and keeping communication steady throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Own Global Town Hall projects, including the main CEO-facing employee event held two to three times each year.
  • Build detailed production plans for creative initiatives, including schedules, dependencies, review loops, and approval checkpoints.
  • Lead project kickoffs, design reviews, and stakeholder check-ins while documenting decisions and follow-up items clearly.
  • Track milestones for all assigned work and make sure deliverables are completed on schedule and in line with the brief.
  • Keep thorough records of project materials, decisions, and updates so the design team and partners have clear visibility.
  • Identify blockers early and work with design and business teams to keep projects moving forward.
  • Help improve creative workflows, intake processes, trackers, tools, and asset storage systems in partnership with Communications Strategy and Operations.
  • Look for ways to use AI or automation to reduce admin work and make project operations more scalable.
  • Build an inclusive, practical, and solution-focused project environment where contributors feel informed and supported.
  • Manage competing priorities across a complex stakeholder network, set expectations, communicate changes quickly, and help resolve conflicts.
  • Coordinate closely with designers, writers, business stakeholders, and communications partners so creative outputs support business priorities.
  • Work with leaders across communications and design to keep timelines, capacity, and expectations realistic and mutually understood.
  • Partner with communications program owners to ensure deliverables support campaign objectives and reflect strategic intent.

Requirements

  • Experience managing creative projects in a fast-moving environment, ideally within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong project management capability, including intake handling, scheduling, workflow design, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Solid understanding of design processes, brand systems, and how creative production moves from start to finish.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot issues early, assess risks, and maintain quality standards.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to interpret requirements, give constructive feedback, and support collaboration.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage several workloads at once, and work with urgency and accountability.
  • Experience using AI or automation tools to improve project efficiency is a plus.
  • Must be willing and able to work as an independent contractor under a W2 contract arrangement.
  • Role requires occasional travel for designated events in cities including Seattle, Austin, and London.
