Role Overview
The Trust at The Wall Street Journal Barron’s Group is a rapidly expanding team composed of enthusiastic writers, content and creative strategists, designers, editors, and developers. Their productions cover a broad spectrum including short and long-form reports, innovative digital experiences, documentaries, data visualizations, animations, and social-first storytelling. This is a full-time on-site internship based in London, offering exposure to various facets of the branded content studio.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse clientele spanning luxury, travel, technology, finance, government, and more.
- Engage with clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions.
- Rotate through various team functions to learn the lifecycle of campaigns from briefing and pitching through production.
- Assist creative directors and editorial staff with research and idea generation, support project managers and producers in launching campaigns punctually and within budget.
- Work alongside designers, developers, performance managers, social strategists, and sales teams to evaluate and enhance content effectiveness for the Wall Street Journal audience.
- Create content ranging from original reported articles and social media copy to films, podcasts, and immersive digital storytelling.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates a strong passion for storytelling and creative problem-solving applicable to client projects; backgrounds in journalism, film/audio production are beneficial.
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic, capable of thriving in a dynamic, high-performing environment; given meaningful assignments that influence published stories on wsj.com.
- Keen interest in news media business coupled with awareness of global business and political landscapes.
- Understand the positioning of The Wall Street Journal within the media sector.
- Possesses an international outlook; experience abroad and multilingualism are advantageous.
- Insight into how technology influences news media and advertising sectors moving forward.
- Effective presentation skills suited for client interactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Strong time management aptitudes.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate education.
