About the company
Flynn Crane Hire provides crane hire and lifting solutions with a focus on safe, efficient, and professional service across Ireland and Europe. As the business continues to expand, it is looking to add a Crane Lift / Lift & Shift Planner to its Blessington, County Wicklow office.
Role overview
This position is mainly office based and centres on producing detailed lift plans, RAMS documentation, and AutoCAD drawings to support crane operations on projects across Ireland. The employer will provide full training to the right person.
Key duties
- Develop detailed lift plans for a variety of projects.
- Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Plan Lift & Shift assignments.
- Create new AutoCAD drawings and update existing ones when needed.
- Attend site visits and surveys from time to time.
- Work in line with relevant health and safety laws, standards, and industry best practice.
- Handle several projects and deadlines at once while keeping work accurate.
Essential requirements
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Good IT and computer skills.
- Valid full Category B driving licence.
- Ability to work on your own and take initiative.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving ability.
- Very strong attention to detail.
Preferred background
Applications are welcome from people with experience in engineering, construction, health & safety, crane hire, lifting operations, or data centre construction.
Desired qualifications and experience
- Experience creating technical documents, RAMS, or method statements.
- Practical AutoCAD experience.
- Understanding of lifting operations and construction site activity.
- Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) qualification.
- Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or an equivalent award.
- Previous experience on data centre projects.
- Prior work in the crane hire sector.
