Job description

Role Overview

Join the team at the Ministry of Justice in Auckland as a Court Registry Officer within the Justice Services for Civil and Family cases at the District Court Tāmaki Makaurau. This fixed-term position extends until June 11, 2027, covering a parental leave period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate court operations by managing courtroom activities including introducing Judges in both English and Te Reo Māori, supporting Judges in Courtroom and Chambers, supervising jurors, and coordinating general court administration.
  • Oversee case management tasks to ensure the Judiciary and parties involved have timely access to necessary information and that all logistical arrangements are in place for efficient case hearings.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to court matters via face-to-face meetings, phone, and email communications with confidence and professionalism.
