Job description

Role Overview

This is a fixed-term position lasting six months, integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the Court system. The role involves working closely with numerous stakeholders connected to the Justice system, including direct communication with Judges both within the courtroom and their chambers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating court proceedings by introducing Judges in both English and Te Reo Māori and supporting their activities within the courtroom and chambers.
  • Managing jurors and overseeing general court administrative duties.
  • Ensuring timely case management by coordinating logistics and providing necessary information to the Judiciary and involved parties for efficient hearing of cases.
  • Delivering customer service through face-to-face, telephone, and email interactions regarding court-related inquiries.

  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism in all work outputs.
  • Detail-oriented with strong observational skills to manage a variety of court processes accurately.
  • Self-awareness and confidence to work effectively both independently and as part of a team across diverse situations.

  • Willingness and adaptability to learn and stay current with evolving legislation and court processes.
  • Resilience to handle sensitive and occasionally high-volume caseloads.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $60,729 and $80,794 annually, with final salary determined based on skills and experience.
