Job description
Job Overview
The Ministry of Justice is seeking a Court Registry Officer for the Family Court Registry at Christchurch District Court on a fixed-term full-time basis until 30 June 2027. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of court operations and involves collaborating with judiciary, legal practitioners, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
The main duty involves "court taking," which includes opening court sessions in both English and Te Reo Māori, working closely within courtrooms and chambers with judges, and managing general court administration tasks.
Project Involvement
The role is particularly important during the implementation of the Te Au Reka project, a transformative digital casefile and workflow solution modernization for the courts and tribunals, supporting team capacity during this significant change.

Compensation
The salary range is NZD 60,729 to 80,794 annually, with the specific appointment salary dependent on individual skills and experience.
