Role overview

This full-time courier position supports the Hospital at Home function at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Florida. The role involves transporting items needed by Lee Health teams and patients, with work scheduled on Shift 1 from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.

What you will do

You will handle the pickup and delivery of medical equipment, laboratory specimens, reports, and supplies across a range of locations such as patients’ homes, Lee Health laboratories, hospitals, and local physician offices. The exact items moved will depend on the needs of the department you are assigned to support.

In addition to transport duties, you may be responsible for arranging or carrying out routine upkeep of department vehicles, keeping logs and records up to date, and completing basic specimen processing and clerical tasks when needed.

The position also requires steady communication and a professional, service-oriented approach when dealing with internal teams, external contacts, and patients.

Requirements

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience delivering medical equipment and supplies is preferred. A valid Florida driver’s license is required, along with a clean driving record and safe driving practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities are also expected.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $23.50 per hour.
