Role overview

FedEx is hiring a courier for its Poole location. The company welcomes both newly qualified drivers and applicants with prior experience. In this role, you will represent the business directly to customers by ensuring parcels are delivered promptly and professionally.

Working pattern and pay

The position involves 45 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday. Pay is £15.01 per hour, and additional premia are provided for work completed between 7pm–10pm and 10pm–6am.

Key duties

• Handle parcel and freight collections as well as deliveries to customers.
• Keep the vehicle and any freight inside it secure at all times.
• Carry out multi-drop delivery routes.
• Perform required vehicle checks and procedural inspections.
• Follow all health and safety requirements while working.

What the employer is seeking

The ideal candidate will hold a valid full Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and a Tacho Driver Card. Strong customer service ability, a positive approach, the capacity to work alone, flexibility, and a solid understanding of driving rules and regulations are important for success in this role.
