Overview of the Role

We seek a Country Manager to spearhead Notion's expansion in Singapore. This leadership position carries full ownership of the local business's growth, revenue, and market presence. As the head of sales and local strategy, you will act like a startup within Notion—building momentum, securing marquee customers, and implementing scalable operations while collaborating across marketing, customer success, professional services, and other teams. Reporting to the APAC GM, you will exercise autonomy in local decisions aligned with global goals. Anchor days require onsite presence on Mondays and Thursdays to foster in-person collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Own all revenue generation and business performance in Singapore.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team to build pipeline and drive results.
• Gain deep insights into user behaviors, workflows, and needs to inform market strategy.
• Grow local ecosystem engagement via communities, startups, and strategic partnerships.
• Build and represent Notion's brand publicly through press, events, and executive engagements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customers derive meaningful value from Notion’s solutions.
• Identify regional growth opportunities and promote Notion’s presence extensively.

Candidate Profile

• Founder-like mindset driven by Notion’s mission and capable of leading 0→1 market efforts with high initiative and adaptability.
• Strong technical and AI fluency to effectively showcase Notion’s AI-powered tools and integrations.
• Well-connected within Singapore’s startup, VC, and media communities.
• Experienced ecosystem builder creating sustainable partner programs beyond one-off events.
• Comfortable as a public ambassador engaging with press, podcasts, conferences, and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborates effectively in cross-functional go-to-market initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Proven track record managing and scaling sales teams that consistently meet revenue targets.
• Operationally adept with data-driven planning, scorecards, performance analysis, and investment recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience, including 3+ years in managerial or leadership roles.
• Experience in Southeast Asian markets encompassing startups to enterprise sectors.
• Comfort with early-stage company dynamics and rapid change.
• Strong customer empathy and passion for growth and revenue generation.
• Fluency in English; additional regional languages are advantageous.

Desirable Attributes

• Background in high-growth SaaS or AI firms in Southeast Asia.
• Fluency in Mandarin, Malay, or other regional languages.
• Experience evangelizing productivity, collaboration, or developer tools.
• Proven ability to develop community-led or product-led growth strategies.
• Curious about AI and enthusiastic about leveraging AI technologies to enhance work outcomes.
