Country Manager - Ireland

Position Overview

Simpson & Partners (EV) Ltd is searching for an enthusiastic Country Manager to spearhead operations, strategy, and expansion within the Republic of Ireland. The focus lies on electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery storage solutions tailored for residential and commercial markets. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced leader with profound industry insight, business development acumen, and a commitment to sustainable energy and mobility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement strategies to expand home and commercial EV charging as well as battery storage solutions across Ireland.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), utility companies, governmental bodies, commercial clients, and key stakeholders within the industry.
• Manage the deployment, upkeep, and customer service for both residential and commercial charging and battery storage infrastructure.
• Ensure full compliance with Irish energy legislation, permit processes, and relevant industry standards across all operational areas.
• Oversee financial outcomes including profit and loss management, set achievable revenue goals, and streamline operations to secure sustainable growth.
• Recruit, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve business objectives effectively.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, battery innovations, and regulatory shifts to guide strategic planning.
• Support advanced grid integration and energy management initiatives, including bidirectional charging and island mode functionality for diverse energy systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in electric vehicle charging, battery storage systems, renewable energy, or closely related industries.
• Robust skills in business development, sales, and operational oversight.
• Comprehensive knowledge of grid integration, battery technologies, and the Irish regulatory environment.
• Proficient in both written and verbal English communication.
• Strong leadership capabilities paired with excellent interpersonal communication.
• Proven ability to operate independently and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-moving context.
• Willingness to undertake travel within Ireland and abroad as job demands.
