Role Summary

The Country Manager for Canada will be the lead executive running Ready4VC’s operations across the country. This position involves strategic oversight, partnership cultivation, program leadership, business development, community engagement, and operational management to expand Ready4VC’s footprint and impact within the Canadian market.

Key Duties

• Design and implement Ready4VC Canada’s growth strategy and annual business plans.
• Identify new opportunities for market expansion, partnerships, and revenue enhancement.
• Elevate Ready4VC’s brand reputation within Canada’s innovation ecosystem and represent the organization at industry events and forums.
• Build and sustain relationships with accelerators, venture capitalists, angel investors, academic and research institutions, government agencies, corporate innovation groups, and founder communities.
• Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships and sponsorship agreements.
• Lead the delivery and continual enhancement of accelerator, venture growth, and founder support runs, ensuring high participant satisfaction and impactful results.
• Recruit and oversee mentors, advisors, investors, and experts contributing to program success.
• Drive business development efforts including sales of innovation programs, consulting services, sponsorships, and ecosystem initiatives.
• Manage daily Canadian operations, including team building, process establishment, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and reporting.
• Promote diversity, inclusion, and accessibility within startup ecosystems.

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in startups, venture capital, innovation, entrepreneurship, accelerator management, consulting, or ecosystem development.
• Proven success in forging partnerships and handling senior-level stakeholder relations.
• Experienced program, initiative, or team leader capable of delivering measurable outcomes.
• Strong skills in business development and relationship management.
• Excellent communicator, presenter, and facilitator.
• Self-starter who flourishes in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.
• Preferred: Established network within Canada’s startup and innovation ecosystem.
• Preferred: Direct exposure working with founders and growth-stage companies.
• Preferred: Understanding of venture capital, fundraising, and startup scaling.
• Preferred: Experience in securing sponsorships, grants, or strategic collaborations.
• Preferred: MBA or relevant higher education qualifications.
