About the Role
The Country General Manager will oversee all commercial, financial, and operational aspects of Locke and Locke by Cove properties located in Berlin and Munich. This position demands a strategic leader with deep expertise in revenue management, strong commercial insights, and a proven ability to drive financial outcomes across multiple hotel assets. The role involves collaboration with revenue, sales, and operations teams to optimize profitability, enhance the guest experience, uphold brand standards, and ensure efficient property management. Additionally, this role is instrumental in expanding the brand's footprint in key German hospitality markets.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the commercial strategy for Berlin and Munich properties, aiming to increase revenue, optimize average daily rate (ADR), occupancy, and food and beverage (F&B) results.
- Collaborate with revenue management teams to deploy dynamic pricing and optimize distribution tactics.
- Oversee sales and marketing initiatives to boost corporate, leisure, and long-stay customer segments within the German market.
- Discover new revenue channels through partnerships, local activations, and shifts in demand trends.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and demand signals in both cities to inform strategy.
Operational and Guest Experience Leadership
- Manage daily operations at both properties to ensure excellent service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance with brand standards.
- Develop and mentor departmental heads to cultivate a guest-centered, high-performance culture.
- Champion continuous improvements in service quality to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain operational consistency while respecting each property's individual identity.
- Balance cost control measures with provision of a premium guest experience.
Food & Beverage Management
- Direct F&B strategies across the two locations to drive commercial success, brand adherence, and top-tier guest service.
- Boost F&B revenue through menu design, competitive pricing, promotions, and market-driven concepts.
- Take full ownership of the F&B profit and loss, focusing on revenue, margins, labor, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with F&B leadership to improve operational effectiveness, service delivery, and profitability.
- Use performance data to identify improvement opportunities and drive ongoing enhancements.
Financial Management and Accountability
- Hold ultimate responsibility for P&L results of both properties, ensuring financial objectives are achieved or surpassed.
- Promote cost efficiency across departments without sacrificing quality or service standards.
- Conduct regular budget, forecast, and financial reviews to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to all financial, legal, and regulatory requirements in Germany.
Stakeholder and Owner Relations
- Serve as the main liaison for ownership groups and key stakeholders.
- Provide transparent, data-supported reports relating to performance, strategies, and operational activities.
- Coordinate with corporate teams across Revenue, Marketing, Finance, and HR to align local objectives with corporate goals.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in premium hospitality, serviced apartments, or lifestyle hotel brands.
- Demonstrated success in commercial strategy development, revenue management, and comprehensive P&L accountability.
- Experience managing multiple properties or intricate hospitality operations.
- Strong familiarity with the German hospitality landscape, especially in Berlin and/or Munich.
- Advanced financial management skills including budget planning, forecasting, and cost oversight.
- Proven ability to lead and nurture high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of revenue management tactics and dynamic pricing frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building expertise.
- Capacity to drive operational efficiency while delivering excellent guest experiences.
- Effective communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
