Counter Sales Executive

Job Overview

We are seeking an approachable, confident, and customer-oriented Counter Sales Executive to join our ladies' garment boutique in Bhubaneswar. The role involves guiding customers in choosing appropriate garments, detailing product features, managing the sales counter, and enhancing overall customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet and understand customer needs attentively.
• Assist customers in selecting ladies' clothing considering preference, size, style, and budget.
• Explain product specifics, pricing, discounts, and available sizes.
• Organize and present garments attractively on shelves and counters.
• Keep the sales area clean and well-maintained.
• Respond to customer inquiries courteously and effectively.
• Support billing and packaging activities as required.
• Manage stock arrangement and notify supervisors about low inventory.
• Assist with displaying new stock and product placement.
• Encourage customers to explore suitable products and help achieve sales goals.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Create and sustain a positive shopping environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Effective communication skills and customer service orientation.

• Basic understanding or interest in women's fashion and apparel.
• Capability to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate items.
• Fundamental calculation skills and familiarity with billing processes.

• Previous experience in retail or garment sales is advantageous but not mandatory.

Candidates with experience in women’s apparel, fashion retail, boutiques, sarees, dress materials, ethnic wear, or related apparel stores are favored. Fresh candidates demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills are also encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions

This full-time retail role requires standing and engaging with customers for long periods. Working hours may be flexible or shift-based, depending on store needs.
