Counseling Outreach Officer

Overview

Zayed University in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Counseling Outreach Officer for its Student Counseling Center. This full-time role collaborates with the center's director, counselors, and university departments to design and deliver outreach initiatives promoting students' physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and sustain collaborative relationships with university departments and stakeholders.
• Represent the Student Counseling Center at university events, including orientations and cultural programs.
• Plan and implement major events like World Health Day and World Mental Health Day.
• Work with faculty and student communities to boost awareness and utilization of counseling services.
• Create, coordinate, and execute outreach programs and activities.
• Conduct meetings and deliver presentations targeting specific student groups.
• Develop psycho-educational materials such as flyers, newsletters, and social media content.
• Manage budgets and maintain financial records related to outreach expenditures.
• Supervise student workers supporting outreach efforts.
• Oversee all student Health Accommodation cases requiring accessibility provisions.
• Collaborate with Health Clinic doctors and academic staff to arrange appropriate accommodations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, or related disciplines from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience, preferably within educational environments.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Strong familiarity with UAE societal culture.
• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
