Role Overview

The Costing Officer will be responsible for building accurate cost sheets, supporting product costing exercises, valuing inventory correctly, and strengthening cost control across the business. This role also involves auditing costs, reviewing variances, and partnering with other teams to improve how expenses are planned and managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise cost sheets, product costing statements, and inventory valuation reports.
• Carry out periodic cost audits to confirm alignment with standard costing practices.
• Study differences between actual spending and budgeted estimates through variance analysis.
• Create and support expense control mechanisms that reduce waste and improve resource use.
• Work with cross-functional teams to find opportunities to improve cost planning, management, and control.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A B.Com degree in any specialization is required.
• Preferred experience is 3 to 8 years in cost accounting or a similar function.
• Strong command of costing concepts such as standard costing, process costing, and inventory valuation is important.
• Ability to prepare detailed cost sheets, product costing documents, and financial reports.
• Good analytical ability to interpret information from different sources, including ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills for presenting financial data clearly and effectively.
