Role Overview

We are seeking a Cost Manager to join our Real Estate team in Qatar. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of projects, often large and complex, including data centres and commercial office developments, mainly new builds, with occasional fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide precise measurement for building and MEP works to ensure project success and client confidence.
• Utilize comprehensive market pricing knowledge to produce competitive and commercially sound cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities essential for successful project execution and client satisfaction.
• Manage post-contract cost variances, change control procedures, and interim application processes with accuracy.
• Maintain high standards and take personal accountability for all deliverables.
• Collaborate with commission leads for timely, accurate reporting to facilitate informed decisions.
• Engage professionally with clients, contractors, and consultants, acting as a reliable advisor within project teams.
• Demonstrate ambition by taking on complex tasks and mentoring colleagues to support business growth.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in the real estate/property sector within professional cost consultancy.
• Proven skills in pre-contract services from feasibility through tendering, including measurement and pricing of building and MEP works.
• Familiarity with post-contract services such as interim applications, change management, and variation valuation.
• Knowledge of standard form contracts, preferably FIDIC, and contract procedures.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly with data centre projects.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and technical aspects.
• Experience with CostX software; BIM experience is a plus.
