Job description

Job Summary

This role supports activities related to member correspondence by generating clinical determination letters for members and providers. The Correspondence Processor follows specific guidelines and standards to ensure quality and cost-effective member care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing clinical determination letters ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with required reading levels.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure correspondence meets regulatory standards, including plain language and appropriate formatting.
  • Monitor letter queues to guarantee timely creation and delivery of all correspondence.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues concerning letter creation or delivery.
  • Contribute to ongoing feedback processes to maintain letter accuracy and high-quality standards.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and comply with company and regulatory standards throughout letter processing.
  • Gain foundational knowledge of healthcare programs, procedures, software systems, and applications used.
  • Ensure all correspondence is clear and concise.
  • Support various internal teams including collaborating with both technical and non-technical personnel for proper letter production.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within healthcare correspondence or clinical communications, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Prior experience as a Correspondence Processor at Molina Healthcare is preferred.
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to adhere to regulatory and internal standards for letter generation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with capability to manage multiple letter queues and deadlines.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills ensuring clarity and accuracy in correspondence.
  • Adaptability to learn new programs, software systems, and various business lines.
  • Ability to research, solicit feedback, and incorporate changes into letters to meet quality standards.
  • Capable of multitasking while ensuring quality and compliance in all correspondence produced.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable guidelines, policies, and regulations in handling clinical correspondence.
  • Work competently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Work effectively with team members and internal departments.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs.
