About the Role

Portico is looking for a polished, proactive, and service-focused Corporate Receptionist to join the front-of-house team at a prestigious private investment firm in Marble Arch, London. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for staff, clients, and visitors, setting the tone for a welcoming and professional experience that reflects the client’s high standards.

The position sits within a lively multi-floor reception environment, so each day brings a varied mix of guest service, coordination, and administrative support. You will work alongside four receptionists, a supervisor, and a reception manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm, professional first impression to visitors and employees.
  • Manage front-of-house activity across three client-facing floors and support a total of 15 meeting rooms.
  • Use the Condeco platform to handle check-ins, room reservations, and booking activity.
  • Welcome guests on the 6th and 7th floors and guide them to the correct meeting spaces.
  • Assist with the events hub on Level 4 for both internal and external events.
  • Respond to phone calls and email enquiries quickly and in a courteous manner.
  • Keep the reception area neat, organised, and presentation-ready at all times.
  • Coordinate meeting room schedules and appointment bookings.
  • Support general administrative work when required.
  • Arrange taxis and transport as needed.
  • Process access card requests and issue visitor passes.
  • Prepare daily operational reports and help with wider facilities coordination.

Working Hours

This is a 40-hour per week role with rotating shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm. From time to time, there may be a need to start slightly earlier or finish slightly later.

Salary

The annual salary for this role is £35,831.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who can quickly build strong professional relationships at all levels. Experience in a corporate client services environment or a premium front-of-house setting is preferred, along with prior receptionist or administrative experience.

Applicants should be comfortable using room-booking systems, with Condeco experience being an advantage, and should have solid IT skills, including MS Office and video conferencing setup. The role also calls for someone who can juggle multiple tasks, stay organised, and remain calm when things get busy.

A smart presentation, friendly manner, proactive approach, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are all important for success in this position.
