Opportunity Overview
This leadership role goes beyond traditional financial planning and analysis. The Corporate FP&A Lead will be responsible for steering and enhancing the company’s financial reporting and planning functions—managing a compact, high-performing team to deliver standard internal and external reporting, leading the annual operating plan process, and establishing a performance management system to accelerate growth and margins.
As a foundational builder in a strategic finance transformation, the Corporate FP&A Lead will collaborate closely with the VP of Finance and Strategy, CFO, and department heads. The leadership’s outputs will directly influence board and investor reporting materials.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all Corporate FP&A deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs with zero unexplained variances, and review each report before distribution to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead the complete Annual Operating Plan process, including schedule management, facilitating department budget discussions, and presenting consolidated profit and loss statements to the CFO.
- Manage and refine the FP&A closing calendar and processes, guarantee adherence to deadlines, and continuously improve the timeline on a quarterly basis.
- Maintain reporting standards and operating procedures linked to FP&A activities and cadences.
- Supervise, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for the Senior and Junior ICs with regular one-on-one meetings.
- Approve and guide the quarterly FP&A automation roadmap developed by the Finance Engineer.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with department leaders through consistent, insightful financial analysis.
- Coordinate model integration and data transfer processes with the Strategic Finance team.
Qualifications
- At least seven years of experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated capability to lead an end-to-end monthly financial close cycle.
- Proven experience in preparing financial reports and presentations suitable for board or investor audiences.
- Effective at managing stakeholders and confidently presenting to CFO and C-suite executives.
- Background working in high-growth technology or SaaS companies is highly advantageous.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance professionals.
- Exceptional ability to translate financial data into strategic insights and actionable decisions.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel, especially with large and complex financial models.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; capable of designing, documenting, and enforcing financial processes independently.
- Business and commercial acumen beyond financial statements.
- Interest or baseline knowledge in data science and artificial intelligence applications relevant to finance.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining efficiency under tight reporting deadlines.
