Job description
About the Role
In this position, you will be appointed as a board-level director for New Zealand limited liability companies on behalf of the firm. Your duties will be governed by a formal Director Agreement that sets out the extent of your powers, your responsibilities, and the indemnity coverage provided to you.
The role is strictly non-executive, meaning you will not oversee everyday operations or make commercial decisions for the businesses involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the registered director for one or more companies listed on the New Zealand Companies Register.
- Sign and process resolutions, statutory paperwork, and required filings as instructed by the legal team.
- Uphold the standards of conduct required under the Companies Act 1993 and other applicable regulations.
- Respond quickly and professionally to communication from the internal team when needed.
What We're Looking For
- You must be a New Zealand resident.
- You must be legally permitted to serve as a company director in New Zealand under the Companies Act 1993.
- A background in law, finance, corporate administration, or a similar discipline will be considered an advantage.
- You should be comfortable working within a clearly defined, non-executive governance structure.
- We are seeking someone dependable, detail-focused, and able to reply to correspondence within the agreed timelines.
What We Offer
- Compensation of up to €2,000 per month.
- A fully remote arrangement, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in New Zealand or Australia.
- Flexible workload expectations.
- Guidance and operational support from the legal and compliance team.
- A stable, long-term working relationship with an international corporate services firm.
Additional Information
This engagement is based on a formal Director Agreement that defines authority, obligations, and indemnification protections. The role is intended for non-executive governance support rather than operational management.
