Corporate Accountant

Role overview

Betting Hero operates as a leading live activation and customer acquisition business in sports betting and iGaming. The company is expanding its Finance team and is looking for a Corporate Accountant who will take ownership of important accounting work while also contributing to cross-functional initiatives.

This is a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly. You will work closely with the Controller, partner with multiple teams, and be encouraged to bring ideas forward rather than simply follow a checklist. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, values accuracy, and wants to help shape how a Finance function develops.

Core accounting duties

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, and cash application.
• Assist with month-end close activities such as journal entries, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
• Run the expense policy workflow by checking submissions, ensuring policy compliance, and proactively following up with employees when needed.

Reporting, audit, and compliance

• Help prepare schedules, gather support, and respond to questions during the annual audit.
• Contribute to internal reporting and quarterly deliverables by producing accurate supporting schedules on time.
• Assist with tax and regulatory compliance work whenever required.

Systems, automation, and process improvement

• Participate in Finance automation initiatives, including helping design, build, and improve AI-supported workflows and tools.
• Help create, update, and maintain SOPs and internal policies as processes change.

Cross-functional work

• Work with teams across the business on a broad mix of projects beyond standard accounting tasks.
• Handle confidential information such as contracts, payroll records, and compliance documents with care and good judgment.
• Adapt to ambiguity and take on new responsibilities as the company grows and the position evolves.

Experience and technical background

Applicants should have 2 to 3+ years of practical accounting experience, including work in general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and journal entries. Experience with ERP systems is expected; NetSuite is preferred, though someone who can learn it quickly would also be a fit. Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets is required. Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Finance is necessary, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Familiarity with Claude and using AI to improve productivity and build solutions is also valued.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this role is $58,000 to $72,000 per year.
