Job description
About Us
This Dubai-based organisation is expanding and focuses on delivering dependable, compliant, and efficient financial and administrative support. It places a strong emphasis on accuracy, openness, and productive cooperation with government and regulatory bodies. Team members are expected to take ownership of their work, collaborate across departments, and build specialist knowledge in an environment that values professional growth and ethical behaviour.
About the Role
The Coordinator & Accountant – Government Transactions will oversee the financial handling and documentation of government-related fees, permits, licences, and regulatory payments. The role requires close coordination with internal teams and external government offices to ensure documents are submitted on time, payments are processed correctly, and records remain complete and well organised.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage government transactions such as permits, licences, renewals, and regulatory payments, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Work with government portals and authorities including DED, MOHRE, GDRFA, and Tasheel.
- Draft, review, and process invoices and receipts, while reconciling accounts linked to government expenses.
- Keep records structured and current, and monitor deadlines for renewals and compliance-related actions.
- Assist with reporting and audit activities by collecting data and preparing concise summaries.
- Help refine processes and maintain compliance with local laws and regulations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of experience in a similar coordinator/accounting position in the UAE, along with a solid grounding in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prior experience handling transactions with government entities is required. Strong ability in accounting systems and MS Office, particularly Excel, is important, as is a clear understanding of UAE regulations, government portals, and compliance requirements. The role also calls for excellent organisation, careful attention to detail, and strong English communication skills; Arabic would be an added advantage. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is needed. High integrity and good judgment in managing confidential information are essential.
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly pay is between AED 4,000 and AED 7,000, depending on experience.
- Benefits include an air ticket every 2 years, paid annual leave, and end-of-service gratuity in line with UAE Labour Law.
