Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated cook to prepare nutritious mid-day meals for a special needs school in Königslutter. This is a part-time role of 18 hours per week with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 01:30 PM. The position is permanent with salary in pay group 4 under TVöD, including various benefits and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare lunch meals considering allergens, religious, medical, or personal dietary requirements.
  • Develop menus in coordination with school management following recommendations of the German Nutrition Society (DGE).
  • Maintain and organize kitchen hygiene standards diligently.
  • Order and purchase food supplies using digital tools (iPad).
  • Implement and comply with HACCP food safety standards.
  • Clean dishes and kitchen equipment thoroughly.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed formal training as a cook (m/w/d).
  • Previous experience in kitchen operations is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HACCP principles.
  • Motivated, eager to learn and open to further training.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to excellence.
  • Willingness to take vacations mainly during school holidays.
