About the Role
The Jugendherberge Schillighörn, accommodating 182 beds and welcoming approximately 8,400 guests annually, serves families and school groups at a unique natural beach on the Frisian North Sea coast. With a dedicated team of 15 employees, the hostelry takes pride in excellent guest care.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute actively to developing a diverse and appealing meal program, from planning to execution.
- Prepare, cook, and serve warm and cold dishes adhering to high nutritional, taste, and presentation standards, including buffet management.
- Participate in a well-managed kitchen routine characterized by clear workflows and a respectful team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all hygiene regulations and Smile® quality management standards.
- Support additional tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, goods receipt, and inventory control.
Candidate Profile
- Completed training as a cook or in household management leadership.
- Passion for quality food, appealing dish presentation, and buffet care.
- Open and friendly demeanor with good interpersonal skills and neat appearance.
- Strong teamwork spirit, creativity, and enthusiasm for contributing ideas and working collaboratively.
- Proficient German language skills and a flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
