About the Role

KPMG Canada invites skilled professionals to join their Contingent Labour Office (CLO) as a Contract Specialist. This role focuses on managing engagement processes for external resources across all Canadian functions and locations. The CLO supports the business by quickly and positively facilitating external workforce engagement, balancing business needs with risk mitigation. The Specialist will contribute to enhancing team workflows, technology, and documentation to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to Hiring Managers during all stages of external resource engagement including setup, ongoing contracts, renewals, and departures.
  • Utilize technology effectively to improve CLO processes, user experience, and resource management.
  • Maintain and update documentation, standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, and process guides for CLO and stakeholders.
  • Promote a customer-focused approach, acting as a trusted advisor to Hiring Managers and external resources.
  • Conduct intake discussions with senior stakeholders such as Partners and Senior Managers.
  • Train stakeholders on using the vendor management system and handle case management by gathering, assessing, and documenting relevant information.
  • Perform due diligence including KPMG history checks, background, independence, and business verifications.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to update case progress and manage inquiries.
  • Identify and escalate complex cases as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet business demands.
  • Lead and support continuous process improvements including impact analysis, change management, and training activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a case management environment, preferably involving agencies, staffing firms, or contingent workforce management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English-French proficiency is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders, contractors, and subject matter experts across functions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure in a dynamic, high-demand team setting with varied workloads.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, timely service and comprehensive documentation.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Experience utilizing vendor management systems (e.g., Flextrack, Beeline) is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel; familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Post-secondary education (college or university degree) in a relevant field.

Additional Information

This position is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada with a virtual work model requiring occasional office presence (1-2 days per month). The salary range for this role is expected to be between $55,000 and $82,000 annually, potentially inclusive of bonuses, determined by candidate qualifications and location.
