Job Overview

This role serves as a specialized expert in regulatory compliance, correctional healthcare standards, and contract adherence for CFG Health Systems' correctional facility contracts. The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) RN develops, applies, and manages systematic processes to maintain awareness and adherence to regulatory requirements through audits and monitoring. Working collaboratively with the Health Services Administrator, this position revises and keeps site-specific policies current to meet relevant standards and contractual obligations. It serves a critical liaison function to external auditors and delivers compliance training to healthcare staff to foster adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compliance education and act as a resource to leadership, clinical personnel, and patient care teams.
• Remain up to date on regulatory agency updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Develop and sustain facility policies and procedures consistent with accreditation and contract standards.
• Lead corrective action plan coordination along with audit tool and monitoring program management.
• Ensure healthcare services meet contractual and accreditation requirements.
• Assist site management in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, action plan development, and compliance tracking.
• Complete and report CQI activities and patient safety issues consistently.
• Generate reports identifying potential risk areas and serve as a resource on audits and contract compliance.
• Participate in corporate staff meetings and provide on-site leadership support during absences of the Health Services Administrator or Director of Nursing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's degree in healthcare administration or nursing specialties preferred.
• At least five years of nursing experience with a current Registered Nurse license valid in New Jersey.
• Deep knowledge of correctional healthcare compliance standards such as NCCHC, ACA, NJ Administrative Code 10-A, and PBNDS.
• Proven skills in educational training and staff development.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication capabilities.
• Ability to collaboratively work with diverse professional levels and external parties.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Highly self-directed, able to operate independently.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS and advanced use of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required physical activities: sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching; lifting light materials.
• Capable of lifting or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment effectively.
