Overview
As a Content Designer at Meta, you will be instrumental in developing clear, user-centric, and accessible experiences by applying design principles through language expertise. You'll work on creating intuitive products and services that reach billions globally, spanning platforms such as mobile, desktop, AR/VR, hardware, and voice interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft, edit, and validate precise and engaging in-product content, including product flows, interface texts, educational materials, navigational labels, taxonomies, and naming conventions across Meta's offerings.
- Utilize systems thinking to define scalable design system guidelines, audit existing content, and establish robust information architectures.
- Leverage understanding of software code to update and review in-product language within internal tools and implement logic to tailor user experiences.
- Engage collaboratively with UX design colleagues, offering constructive feedback to enhance product quality.
- Create detailed design mockups with Figma using established components to effectively present solutions.
- Partner daily with cross-disciplinary teams including engineering, design, research, marketing, and data science to drive products from concept to launch.
- Work alongside internationalization teams to assure superior quality of product experiences in multiple languages.
- Exercise sound judgment to influence product and strategic decisions, identify risks, and align stakeholders by clarifying trade-offs.
- Proactively lead cross-team projects, facilitating design sprints and workshops as needed.
- Nurture an internal community, provide mentorship, and contribute to the professional growth of fellow content designers.
Required Qualifications
- 7 or more years of professional experience in UX writing.
- Demonstrable experience producing final wireframes or design mockups with design tools that have influenced team decisions.
- Proficiency in conveying complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with content management tools suitable for handling large-scale content.
- Experience in design systems and applying systems thinking.
- Capability to independently lead initiatives and manage ambiguity effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in content strategy, information architecture, or linguistics.
- Expertise integrating AI technologies to enhance and redesign workflows, achieving tangible improvements in efficiency and quality.
- Experience with responsible and ethical AI deployment, including risk mitigation and quality assurance.
- Proven mentorship or management experience within content design teams.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design methodologies.
- Ongoing advancement in AI-related skills such as prompt engineering and agent orchestration.
- Experience designing for emerging platforms including AR/VR and voice interfaces.
- Track record of collaborating on large-scale, cross-functional projects across product domains.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $146,000 to $209,000 annually, with additional opportunities for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Individual pay is based on expertise, experience, and location.
