About the Role
DNAM Brands is seeking a full-time Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator for an in-house position in Emeryville, CA. This role involves conceptualizing, filming, editing, and publishing engaging short-form video content for social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. You will be instrumental in growing brand awareness and engagement for a portfolio of well-known brands, including Von Dutch, Ed Hardy, Trina Turk, Valentino Orlandi, and Badgley Mischka. The ideal candidate possesses a strong grasp of current social media trends, UGC-style content, and effective video storytelling, working collaboratively with the Marketing and Creative teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative content concepts and ideas that align with brand objectives and prevailing social media trends.
- Scour platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels for creative inspiration and emerging trends.
- Formulate detailed shoot themes, create shot lists, and manage content calendars.
- Orchestrate the preparation of products, equipment, props, and wardrobe for content shoots.
- Produce high-quality photographic and video content both in-studio and at external locations.
- Edit short-form video content specifically optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social channels.
- Generate and publish a minimum of 15 short-form content pieces weekly.
- Manage and cultivate the brand's TikTok presence, ensuring content remains current and captivating.
- Actively monitor social media for trending audio, challenges, and viral content opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to execute content campaigns and product launches effectively.
- Analyze content performance data and provide actionable recommendations for future content strategies.
- Undertake local travel as required for content shoots, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Qualifications
- Possess 1-2 years of experience in creating content for social media platforms.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and contemporary social media trends.
- Proven experience in shooting, editing, and publishing short-form video content.
- Proficiency in using video editing software and mobile content creation tools.
- Familiarity with User-Generated Content (UGC) marketing principles and content creation.
- Exhibit a strong creative vision for storytelling, visual composition, and aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain a high level of organization, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Hold a valid driver's license and possess reliable transportation for local travel to shoot locations.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working with fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or e-commerce brands is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of photography principles and lighting techniques.
- Familiarity with analyzing content performance metrics and social media analytics.
Portfolio Requirement
Candidates are required to submit a portfolio that highlights their relevant work, including TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, UGC content, or any other short-form social media content they have personally created, filmed, and edited.
