About ACMI
ACMI is a museum dedicated to screen culture. Its work spans films, television, videogames, and screen-based art, with experiences available at Fed Square in Naarm/Melbourne, online, and through touring programs. The museum welcomes millions of visitors each year through exhibitions, screenings, commissions, and festivals, while also running industry, education, and creative incubator initiatives that help develop the next generation of screen creatives. About the Role
This fixed-term opportunity is for a Content and Social Media Manager who will lead the creation and delivery of organic social campaigns, while also supporting paid activity. The role is focused on expanding ACMI’s social audiences through engaging, high-quality content.
Key Focus Areas
- Plan and deliver integrated social media activity across paid and organic channels to build awareness and engagement.
- Shape content ideas that reflect the organisation’s brand, values, and tone, supported by strong writing, production, and editing skills.
- Manage online communities and handle issues management when required.
- Work across multiple platforms and tools, including Brandwatch, Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager, Meta Creative Hub, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Business Manager, and Google Analytics, as well as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Develop and manage influencer activity, including finding creators, negotiating, contracting, and briefing both earned and paid partnerships.
- Coordinate complex social workflows such as content calendars, creative briefs, and cross-channel rollout aligned with wider organisational priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams and apply an understanding of attribution, measurement, audience behaviour, platform algorithms, and market-specific creative adaptation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with influencers and creators across Australia’s arts, culture, and entertainment media landscape.
- Use reporting and analysis to turn performance data into practical insights that improve strategy and support evidence-based planning.
