Job description

About Warner Music Group

Warner Music Group is a worldwide network of music creators, technologists, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals working to turn talent into recognition and audiences into loyal fans. The company is guided by three core values: curiosity, collaboration, and commitment. It places strong importance on inclusion, respect, and a workplace that welcomes people from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.

Warner Music Australia offers the creative energy of a nimble independent combined with the scale and resources of a global music business.

About the Team

The Domestic Strategy team at Warner Music Australia supports the growth and long-term success of the local artist roster. The group works across A&R, creative, and commercial disciplines to bring artist visions to life. Content is used as a key driver of discovery and engagement, and the role partners closely with discovery, creative, and PR teams to help artists stand out in the digital space.

Role Overview

As the Content and Digital Strategist, you will shape how artists are presented and discovered online. The role focuses on building tailored artist-generated content plans and running agile digital campaigns that convert casual listeners into committed fans. It requires close attention to local culture, strong creative judgment, and a data-informed approach to measuring and improving performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop content strategies that align artist-generated content with each domestic artist’s creative identity.
  • Plan and deliver digital marketing campaigns designed to expand reach and support growth goals for priority artists.
  • Build trusted working relationships with artists and managers and become part of their broader creative network.
  • Lead the creation of artist-generated content, including idea development and collaboration with videographers and editors.
  • Review campaign performance and return on investment, and share insights on effective strategies and cultural opportunities with the wider business.
  • Work with the Discovery team to support fan-led user-generated content initiatives and improve engagement across artist channels.
  • Partner with the Creative Producer to bring social-first content ideas into music video shoots and photo sessions.

What You Bring

You should have experience in music marketing, creative project management, or digital/social campaign management, along with a strong grasp of current social media trends, short-form video, and the Australian music market. The role suits someone who is both strategic and creative, comfortable working across fast-moving teams, and capable of turning content ideas into strong social and DSP performance.

A genuine passion for music and a desire to help local artists reach global audiences are important for success in this position.

Nice to Have

It will be an advantage if you already have relationships with Australian artists and their management teams. An interest in innovation and the impact of emerging technologies on fan discovery is also valued.
