Role Overview
This position is aimed at an energetic procurement consulting expert with substantial knowledge in Capex, Construction, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FFE), Food categories, and Indirect procurement. The role involves supporting strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, and transformational projects for global clients across various industries. Key deliverables include driving cost optimization, enhancing supplier performance, improving processes, and actively engaging stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing and category management projects across Capex, Construction, FFE, Food & Ingredients, and Indirect procurement categories.
- Design and implement sourcing strategies aligned with client goals.
- Oversee full-cycle sourcing activities such as RFx processes, supplier negotiations, selection, contracting, and ongoing supplier management.
- Collaborate with client teams to uncover cost-saving and value-adding opportunities.
- Execute procurement transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Handle multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining delivery quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Analyze spend data and market trends to inform recommendations.
- Deliver presentations on sourcing strategies and project outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to practice and business development.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Procurement consulting experience either within consulting firms or a blend of consulting and industry exposure.
- Expertise in Capex & Construction Procurement, FFE, Food & Ingredients, and Indirect Procurement categories.
- Strong skills in sourcing strategies, negotiation, supplier and stakeholder management.
- Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and presentation abilities.
- Capability to manage complex and fast-moving consulting projects.
- Experience in procurement transformation and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong client relationship management and engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory; MBA is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with international clients and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with procurement technologies and sourcing platforms.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
