Job description

About Cognizant Consulting

Cognizant Consulting is a worldwide consulting community of more than 6,000 specialists focused on helping organizations rethink how they operate and grow. By combining strong industry insight with technology advisory expertise, the team develops forward-looking business solutions for large enterprise clients. This role is for someone ready to help shape what comes next for businesses in Canada and beyond.

Role overview

As a Consultant, you will contribute to client engagements by examining business challenges, speaking with stakeholders, forming recommendations, and creating presentation materials. The role includes participation in strategic advisory work, transformation initiatives, and opportunities to build a long-term consulting career. In the COIN (Consultant Incubator) full-time program, you will work with project teams to deliver practical value quickly, strengthen your consulting capabilities, and develop domain knowledge. Over time, you are expected to progress into a Senior Consultant role aligned with your interests and career goals, with increased responsibility for leading teams and handling broader business problems.

Key responsibilities

You will help assess both business and technology issues, collaborate with internal and client teams, and support the delivery of innovative solutions. The position also involves contributing to research, developing client-facing materials, and assisting with business development activities.

What you will do

  • Build knowledge of relevant industries, technologies, and market practices.
  • Interpret client concerns and identify patterns from market and industry developments.
  • Assist with go-to-market efforts for Cognizant.
  • Run and support collaborative working sessions with clients.
  • Team up with colleagues to use company methods and tools to design and roll out strategic and technology solutions.
  • Research industry topics, spot client opportunities, and prepare deliverables.
  • Contribute to articles, whitepapers, and other marketing or thought-leadership material.
  • Support business development by collecting best practices for RFI/RFP responses and helping draft proposals.

Qualifications and requirements

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, along with the ability to understand business needs and their effect on complex operations and systems. You should be comfortable solving problems in a creative and analytical way, communicate clearly in writing and speaking, and bring evidence of teamwork and leadership. A genuine interest in technology and digital modernization, a self-driven mindset, strong client-service orientation, and a solid work ethic are important. The role also calls for the ability to work effectively across cultures and, when needed, support multiple time zones. Strong Microsoft Office capability is required, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and Project.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary for this role is 70000 per year. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus. Benefits are also provided to support physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.

Work location and arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The role requires being in a client or Cognizant office three days per week, depending on business needs, project assignments, and client requirements. The working model may change over time, but expectations will be communicated clearly.

Start date

COIN Consultants are expected to begin in the Summer of 2026, and exact joining dates will be shared with sufficient notice for planning.
