Overview
The Compliance Specialist III will become part of the Ethics and Compliance Organization (ECO), reporting to the Director of Compliance. This role focuses on advancing the company's Labor and Human Rights program by navigating complex global regulatory environments and establishing industry best practices. The specialist will drive initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic roadmap, collaborating cross-functionally to uphold the company’s reputation concerning labor and human rights throughout operations and supply chains.
Responsibilities
- Refine and improve the Labor and Human Rights program in accordance with the strategic roadmap.
- Lead Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIAs) by engaging with internal and external stakeholders and rights-holders across company operations, supply chain, and community.
- Perform supply chain human rights risk assessments to support regulatory disclosures, working with local subsidiaries to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Act as Project Manager for the Human Rights Working Group (HRWG), managing deliverables and tracking progress.
- Collaborate with IT and HRWG on designing, testing, and deploying tools to support the human rights program, such as country risk profiles, HRIAs, and social audits.
- Help create a storybook to aid social audits and inspection preparedness.
- Assist in designing and delivering training on the Business Partner Code of Conduct and human rights awareness.
- Monitor global regulatory updates and best practices, conducting gap analyses and impact assessments.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, enterprise risk management, human rights, compliance, or supplier due diligence.
- At least 5 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven ability to lead collaborative projects with cross-functional teams and interact effectively across all organizational levels.
- Deep knowledge of key human rights and ESG regulatory frameworks and standards, including but not limited to EU CSRD, CSDDD, UK Modern Slavery Act, California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, U.S. Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, OECD Due Diligence Guidance, and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Work Details
This position is part-time, requiring approximately 20 hours weekly. Remote work is permitted; occasional meetings may be desirable if located near the company’s Pennsylvania offices.
