About the Role
This position functions as a compliance risk analyst within Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM), dedicated to developing and implementing internal strategies, policies, procedures, and frameworks that prevent violations of laws, rules, and regulations. The role ensures that risk management frameworks align with the organization's risk appetite and safeguard the company’s reputation and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior team members in crafting, implementing, and upholding leading-edge compliance programs, policies, and practices across ICRM.
- Evaluate materials to confirm alignment with pertinent regulatory and legal standards.
- Detect potential compliance risks and escalate issues when necessary for deeper assessment.
- Manage and maintain documentation and reports for control, oversight, and analysis, ensuring secure archival.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues to investigate and address compliance risk concerns, prepare associated correspondence.
- Engage with various internal teams within ICRM and broader corporate groups as required.
- Assist with oversight of regulatory inventories, regulatory change processes, and regulatory examinations, including coordination and logistics.
- Support the development, review, and upkeep of compliance program documentation.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to enhance compliance risk management.
- Evaluate risks prudently in business decisions with a focus on preserving the firm's reputation and assets by ensuring adherence to laws, policies, ethical standards, and transparent reporting of control matters.
Candidate Qualifications
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, innovative, and flexible in approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration across organizational levels.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with solid organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of compliance-related laws, regulations, risks, and typologies.
- Familiarity with specific areas of compliance focus pertinent to the role.
Educational Background
The role requires a bachelor’s degree with prior experience working within financial services firms, regulatory bodies, legal, or consulting environments, or a combination thereof.
