Key Responsibilities
- Partner with teams across the company to keep compliance certifications and frameworks current for the APAC region, including standards such as ISO 27001 and regional privacy laws like Australia’s APP and Singapore’s PDPA.
- Contribute to the positioning of the enterprise product for regulated sectors in APAC, especially Finance, Telecommunications, and Government, with particular attention to Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
- Create and maintain technical documentation that clearly demonstrates compliance throughout the product and infrastructure stack.
- Support sales by answering customer security reviews and handling compliance-related questions from clients.
- Perform risk assessments using CIS or ISO 27000 series frameworks, record the results, and help teams move toward compliance efficiently.
- Improve compliance-as-code tooling so monitoring and reporting can be automated and the burden on internal teams is reduced.
Requirements
- Prior experience completing vendor security assessments and customer security questionnaires in regulated APAC industries such as Government, Defense, or Finance, with emphasis on Australia, New Zealand, or Singapore.
- Strong technical background in compliance operations, including hands-on use of compliance management platforms such as Vanta.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and obtain certifications while keeping audit readiness and supporting documentation in order.
- Experience working with cross-functional partners in sales, engineering, and legal to communicate compliance requirements effectively and keep processes running smoothly.
- Practical knowledge of public cloud compliance across AWS, GCP, or Azure, including automation of compliance workflows in cloud environments.
- Experience integrating compliance tools into CI/CD pipelines to automate monitoring and reporting.
Location
This is a remote-first position and can be done from anywhere in APAC. Availability to work in GMT+8 to GMT+12 is preferred. If desired, you may also work from the Tokyo office.
