Job description

Overview

Mindrift brings subject-matter experts together with project-based AI work for major technology companies. The focus is on checking, assessing, and helping improve AI systems. This is a project-based opportunity and does not represent a permanent job.

Applicants are asked to send their CV in English and specify their English proficiency level.

What You May Be Asked to Do

  • Create and review scenarios for applying regulations by examining compliance materials such as advertisements, disclosures, or policy documents against the relevant rule and identifying the exact subsection that applies or is breached.
  • Draft sanctions-alert disposition cases with clear false-positive rationale and escalation paths.
  • Prepare compliance testing exercises, including sample selection, test planning, findings notes, and conclusion memos suitable for examiner review.
  • Build cases that identify policy gaps where internal procedures fail to cover a regulatory requirement, conflict with the regulation, or have not been updated after a rule change.
  • Record every test case with confirmed citations to the exact regulatory subsection; estimates or invented references are not acceptable.

Who This Suits

This role is well suited to professionals from compliance, regulatory affairs, legal services, or wider financial services backgrounds who are comfortable taking on part-time, non-permanent project work.

Ideal candidates typically have a degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline, along with at least 2 years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or financial services. Recent or current exposure to compliance and regulatory work, financial crime, or closely related areas is especially relevant.

A strong habit of precise citation is important: you should be able to identify the exact regulatory subsection that applies and call out uncertainty instead of guessing. CRCM, CAMS, or an equivalent local credential is viewed positively, as is prior experience as a regulatory examiner or inspector. Strong written English at C1 level or above is expected.

How the Engagement Works

The process is: apply, complete the qualification step(s), join a project, finish the assigned tasks, and receive payment.

Time Commitment

During active project phases, the expected workload is about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not a guaranteed number of hours. It applies only while a project is active.

Compensation

Contributors may earn up to the hourly equivalent of USD 50 on this project, with the exact amount depending on their level and pace of work. Pay can differ from one project to another based on scope, complexity, and the expertise required.

Additional Information

Participation is project-based rather than permanent employment.
