Job description
Role Overview
This pivotal opportunity involves delivering high-level administrative assistance within a dynamic department, primarily handling Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests (SARs). You will be responsible for logging and managing complaints, councillor casework, MP enquiries, and requests for information through the Council’s case management system, ensuring responses are punctual, comply with legal requirements, and maintain quality standards.
The role promotes lawful and transparent data management, supports identification of service enhancements, coordinates with senior personnel and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) when necessary, and guarantees excellent customer service aligned with organizational policies.

Employment Details
- Directorate: Public Health, Public Protection, Engagement & Communities
- Pay Scale: Level 5, £30,160 to £35,530 including local weighting allowance
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Work Hours: 37 hours per week
- Work Location: Hybrid model based at Observatory House, Slough – minimum two days onsite weekly
- DBS Requirement: Basic check
