Role Overview
We seek a meticulous and analytically proficient Compensation Lead to oversee the comprehensive management of our compensation frameworks. This includes administering tools like Radford for survey reporting and Pave for compensation cycle management, ensuring alignment with Affirm's policies and employee needs. The role is pivotal in day-to-day compensation operations and in maintaining program effectiveness and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete administration of semiannual compensation cycles.
- Lead components of annual compensation benchmarking, including auditing role responsibilities and requirements, managing benchmarking surveys, and recommending updates to cash and equity structures.
- Execute special projects involving ad hoc compensation analyses such as incentive plans, equity programs, and pay equity evaluations.
- Manage pay reporting processes across Affirm's supported geographic regions.
- Support compensation-related training and communication initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in compensation or people analytics.
- Proficiency with compensation management platforms, preferably Pave.
- Strong data orientation and analytical skills, capable of translating raw data into actionable insights using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, and Claude Code.
- Exceptional attention to detail, responsible work ethic, and ability to function both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Collaborative team player with excellent cross-functional communication skills to meet project deadlines.
- Exercise sound judgement and integrity while handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Broad analytical capability dealing with diverse problems requiring factor evaluation.
- Excellent verbal and written skills to convey complex information clearly to staff and senior leadership.
- Highly organized, skilled at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service aptitude.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance concerning compensation plans and programs.
Compensation Details
Pay Grade: K; Equity Grade: 4.
New hires generally start at the low end of the pay range. Affirm maintains a straightforward and transparent pay framework influenced by factors such as location, experience, and job skills.
Annual base salary range in Canada: 112000 to 172000 CAD.
This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
Work Arrangement
Affirm embraces a remote-first work model, allowing employees to work from virtually anywhere within their country of employment. Some roles may require occasional on-site attendance, especially those in proximity to an Affirm office. A limited number of positions remain office-based due to job needs.
