About Revolut
Revolut was founded in 2015 with a simple goal: to give people more from their money — more control, more visibility, and more freedom. Its product suite spans spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more, serving 65+ million customers globally. The company has grown rapidly and now employs 10,000+ people across offices and remote teams worldwide. Revolut has also been certified as a Great Place to Work™, reflecting its strong employee experience and culture.
About the role
The Legal team works to simplify complexity by supporting business teams with practical, clear legal guidance so the company can grow quickly while remaining protected. The team covers areas such as credit programme structuring and expansion into new markets, with a focus on secure, compliant, long-term growth.
Revolut is hiring a Company Secretary to support its New Zealand entity. In this role, you will coordinate board and committee activities to meet the expectations of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) and the Financial Markets Authority (FMA). You will help ensure compliance with applicable legislation, keep directors informed of their legal duties, maintain corporate records, and support important legal work connected to the banking licence application process.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing independent governance support for Revolut’s New Zealand entity and its committees.
- Setting meeting agendas and distributing board packs within required deadlines.
- Attending board meetings and preparing precise minutes.
- Monitoring follow-up actions arising from meetings.
- Communicating and influencing effectively at senior leadership level.
- Helping maintain strong local governance while aligning procedures across the wider group.
- Coordinating the signing and execution of corporate documents, including shareholder resolutions and KYC forms.
- Supporting the legal team in meeting New Zealand legal and regulatory obligations.
- Keeping statutory registers up to date and submitting filings to the NZ Companies Office.
- Leading improvements to the governance function and related processes.
- Acting as a representative of Revolut’s New Zealand entity with public authorities and regulators.
- Supporting the growth and development of junior team members.
What you’ll need
- A bachelor’s degree in law, or at least 3 years of hands-on company secretary experience.
- Prior exposure to a financial institution or technology company is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance and company law.
- Solid understanding of how to manage conflicts of interest.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to organise board and committee processes effectively.
- Capability to produce clear, concise meeting minutes.
- Experience owning legal entity compliance tasks with limited supervision.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build senior-level working relationships.
- Resilience, delivery focus, and comfort managing multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate proactively in straightforward, plain English.
