About the role
The City of Wagga Wagga is looking for an organised and customer-focused professional to support the Community Services division with a high standard of administration. This position plays a key part in helping deliver funding initiatives, projects, events, and community-facing services in a busy and varied environment.
The division brings together the Art Gallery, Civic Theatre, Library, Community Development, Cultural Services, Museum, and Visitor Economy & Events teams.

Key duties
In this role, you will provide reliable administrative support while helping ensure the smooth delivery of funding programs, projects, and events. Your work will include:
- Providing efficient and high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting administration for Council’s Annual Grants program and ClubGRANTS Category 1
- Drafting correspondence, reports, presentations, and media content
- Preparing meeting agendas and minutes
- Handling confidential information and maintaining internal systems
- Completing administrative tasks such as travel bookings, reconciliations, and purchase requisitions
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of workshops and events across the division
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers to help deliver services
- Using and maintaining databases and electronic records systems
- Researching information for reports and submissions
- Editing and proofreading internal and external business documents and communications
- Providing occasional front-of-house support at different division locations as needed
- Backing up the Executive Assistant, Cultural Officer, and other teams when required
About you
To succeed in this position, you will bring strong administration experience, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to service. You should be comfortable working across multiple priorities and dealing with a range of people and tasks.
