Job description
Position Overview
We are excited to offer a distinctive occupational opportunity designed to enable immediate involvement in the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Podiatry specialty. This role welcomes both fresh graduates and experienced Band 5 podiatrists aiming for an early start and tailored progression in MSK.
At Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, we recognize that foundational podiatry skills are indispensable. However, access to MSK focused roles has traditionally been delayed by standard career routes. Our approach revolutionizes these pathways by customizing your weekly workload proportions between core podiatry duties and MSK specialization, facilitating your integration and advancement within the MSK team.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop patient care programs for diverse health issues including musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological conditions, circulatory problems, and immunosuppression through evidence-based, patient-centred care packages.
- Manage a clinical client caseload delivering tailored podiatric care across community and secondary care environments.
- Conduct domiciliary visits for housebound patients, disabled children and adults, those attending special educational needs schools, and vulnerable elderly populations.
Professional Requirements
- Eligibility for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration or currently undergoing registration process.
- Possession of a BSc in Podiatric Medicine or an equivalent qualification.
Additional Information
Welsh language skills are desirable but not mandatory. Applications submitted in Welsh will be considered equally with English applications, ensuring no disadvantage.
