Job description

About Boulder Care

Boulder Care is a recognized digital addiction medicine clinic that combines clinical innovation with high-quality patient care. Since its founding in 2017 by CEO Stephanie Strong, the organization has focused on improving outcomes for people living with substance use disorders through compassionate, evidence-based treatment.

The care model is entirely virtual and brings together medical providers and peer recovery specialists to deliver individualized support, including medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and continuing care. Boulder Care works with health plans, employers, and community organizations so patients can access services with coverage and fewer barriers to recovery. The company has also been named by Fortune as one of the Best Workplaces in Healthcare and promotes a culture centered on kindness, respect, and meaningful work.

About the Role

The Community Partnerships Manager will own Boulder Care’s regional B2B partnership strategy in Colorado, with the role expected to expand into additional markets over time. This is a pure business-to-business position and serves as Boulder Care’s representative to health systems, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Clinically Integrated Networks (CINs), major physician groups, and community-based organizations.

The focus of the role is to embed Boulder Care into Colorado’s healthcare and community ecosystem by building trusted relationships with executives and organizational leaders who influence population health strategy. You will connect Boulder’s value proposition to partner goals and convert informal relationships into structured referral pathways, often by helping organizations adopt Boulder Care even when there is no direct financial incentive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and connect with senior decision-makers such as Vice Presidents of Population Health, Chief Medical Officers, and Care Management Directors within Colorado health systems, ACOs, and CINs.
  • Pitch Boulder Care’s offering in a way that resonates with healthcare leaders, emphasizing reduced readmissions, lower total cost of care, and stronger HEDIS/Stars performance.
  • Advance relationships from casual collaboration to formal operating workflows, including EHR integration and preferred-provider agreements.
  • Create and manage regional account strategies to expand Boulder Care’s presence across major Colorado medical groups and networks.
  • Act as the day-to-day relationship owner for institutional partners, maintaining strong satisfaction and resolving operational issues that affect referrals or workflows.
  • Monitor partnership outcomes, referral activity, and onboarding progress, then share quarterly business reviews with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Build deep knowledge of Colorado’s healthcare landscape, including Health First Colorado (Medicaid) RAE updates, local value-based care models, and shifts in regional hospital systems.
  • Represent Boulder Care at healthcare conferences, policy discussions, and B2B industry gatherings across Colorado.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote role. However, candidates must live and work in one of the approved states to be considered: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, MA, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, or WV. Colorado-based applicants are preferred as the role grows into broader markets.

Employees may also use Boulder Care’s river-front headquarters in Portland, Oregon whenever they choose.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.

Compensation

The starting salary range for this role is $115,000 to $130,000 per year. The position also includes a $750 monthly car stipend to help cover travel-related needs. As the role evolves and travel requirements become clearer, the stipend amount and structure may be reviewed and changed.

Final compensation may vary based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The overall package may also include medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and paid leave such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave.

Perks and Benefits

  • Opportunity to contribute to work that directly supports life-saving care
  • Medical, dental, vision, and short-term disability coverage for employees and their families
  • Mental health support through insurance, including Talkspace and an Employee Assistance Program
  • Four weeks of vacation per year, increasing to five weeks after two years of service
  • Sick time accrued at one hour for every 30 hours worked
  • Nine paid holidays each year
  • 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave after six months of employment for birth or adoption
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Remote-friendly setup with hardware provided for work

Values and Inclusion

Boulder Care emphasizes patient-first care, evidence-based decision-making, teamwork, and bold action. The company also values lived experience and encourages applicants with lived experience and/or peer recovery specialist training to apply.

Boulder Care is committed to equal employment opportunity and welcomes candidates from historically underrepresented backgrounds. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or veteran status.
