Role Overview

This position sits under the Community Engagement Manager or the line supervisor and supports AKG’s community outreach and partnership initiatives. The role is centered on event-based engagement work aimed at building awareness of AKG’s employability services and encouraging participation from Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.

This is a full-time, on-site event role suited to confident, outgoing individuals who are comfortable speaking with the public. You will be deployed to physical events to present information about the services, support onboarding activities, and help drive engagement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent AKG at in-person events and increase public awareness of the organisation’s employability offerings.
  • Distribute flyers, lead engagement activities, and explain the benefits of the services to event attendees.
  • Present the main value points of AKG’s employability programmes to potential clients.
  • Deliver basic career guidance to help individuals identify suitable support and training options.
  • Generate enquiry leads, sign-ups, and attachments in line with assigned KPIs.
  • Support event logistics from setup through teardown, including ushering, crowd management, and encouraging audience participation in planned activities.
  • Assist the Community Engagement Manager with partner relationship development and year-round events or initiatives.
  • Collect onboarding documents and maintain accurate, timely updates in the Event Tracking and CRS systems.
  • Take on any other duties assigned by the line supervisor.

Working Pattern

The role follows a 5-day work week, and weekends are included. Working hours may align with retail, event, or roadshow schedules.

Requirements

  • Genuine interest in helping people improve employability and secure jobs.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and committed to supporting young adults in building successful careers.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Resilient, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Background in partnerships or relationship management will be considered an advantage.
  • Comfortable using MS Office applications.

Quality, Compliance, and Administration

  • Follow AKG, project, and local government policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
  • Meet event engagement targets and uphold quality expectations.
  • Keep all records and systems updated accurately and on time.
  • Submit clear and timely reports for all relevant activities.
  • Protect client information and maintain confidentiality in line with PDPA requirements.
