Job description

About Curana Health

Curana Health is focused on improving the health, happiness, and dignity of older adults. The company works as a national value-based care partner for senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities, delivering services such as on-site primary care, Accountable Care Organizations, and Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans that are designed to improve outcomes, simplify operations, and create additional financial value.

Established in 2021, Curana Health has expanded rapidly and now supports more than 200,000 seniors across 1,500+ communities in 32 states. Its workforce includes over 1,000 clinicians, as well as care coordinators, analysts, operators, and other professionals collaborating to provide proactive care solutions for senior living operators and the residents they serve.

Role Overview

The Senior Living Community Engagement Manager is a newly created position centered on educating and connecting with senior living community partners and residents. This role is responsible for maintaining close relationships with a defined group of facility partners and becoming a familiar, trusted point of contact. Success in the role is closely tied to the quality of the facility staff experience with Curana, and to some extent the patient and family experience as well.

The goal is to strengthen engagement, improve partner satisfaction, and support long-term retention of facility relationships.

Key Responsibilities

The Community Engagement Manager will work across both facility staff engagement and patient/family engagement.

Facility Staff Engagement

  • Hold regular meetings with staff at assigned senior living communities, including leaders such as the Executive Director, Director of Health and Wellness, and Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Identify a Curana champion within each facility and build a strong working relationship with that person.
  • Present data and dashboard insights to highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Share field-level operational issues with Clinical Operations leadership.
  • Plan and participate in educational and social events involving the facility and Curana Health.
  • Serve as the connection point between nursing, sales, wellness, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Stay attentive to facility needs and relay feedback to the internal team.

Patient and Family Engagement

  • Plan, coordinate, and run educational and engagement events for patients and families.
  • Help ensure residents understand Curana’s services and support sign-ups for those services.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is energetic, relationship-driven, and comfortable working with people in a senior living environment. Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.

Equal Opportunity and Work Authorization

Curana Health maintains a strong commitment to equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination in recruiting, hiring, transfers, and all other employment practices. The company states that it is unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time, including H1B sponsorship.

Recognition

Curana Health notes that it was ranked the 147th fastest growing privately owned company in the nation on Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000 list. The company also placed 16th in the Healthcare & Medical category and 21st in Texas, reflecting its growth and impact in senior housing.
