Opportunity Overview
HHM Hotels is seeking a Communications Specialist focused on Talent & Culture to collaboratively develop and implement impactful messages that engage our corporate offices, hotel locations, and external audiences. This role, based at our central corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, is pivotal in managing company-wide verbal and written communications related to talent growth, organizational updates, and corporate identity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the internal communication strategy via the 'Inside HHM' intranet platform to maintain employee awareness and connection.
- Manage and circulate organizational updates including significant company developments and expansion news.
- Promote and recognize accomplishments such as awards received by individual hotels and management teams.
- Compose timely talent-related announcements covering new hires, promotions, benefits, wellness initiatives, and organizational changes.
- Handle ongoing office communications specifically for the Philadelphia and Harrisburg corporate offices.
- Collaborate closely with HR and corporate leadership teams to support various communication needs.
- Create and schedule engaging content for HHM Hotels' social media profiles.
- Maintain and update the company website and assist in executing daily industry reporting activities.
- Support corporate public relations by drafting, formatting, and distributing press releases.
- Maintain relationships with hospitality-focused magazines and websites, and coordinate data submissions for industry surveys.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 to 5 years of professional experience in corporate or internal communications, human resources, public relations, or a related discipline.
- Excellent writing and verbal skills with the ability to modulate tone appropriately for internal and external audiences.
- Highly skilled in PowerPoint, demonstrating a keen eye for visual presentation, slide design, and formatting.
- Experienced with email communication design and proficient in using email marketing or intranet tools to produce visually appealing newsletters.
- Strong organizational capabilities with experience balancing multiple content schedules simultaneously.
- Hospitality industry experience or interest is advantageous but not mandatory.
