Role overview
This part-time front office communications role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, staying calm under pressure, and managing a busy flow of guest interactions. You will act as a central contact point for the hotel, helping ensure guest needs are handled smoothly and professionally.
Key duties
- Handle and coordinate all incoming phone calls for the hotel.
- Serve as a primary contact for guest enquiries and ensure calls are managed with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support the front office team with reservations and group preparation work.
- Remain organised while juggling multiple tasks and maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Use a confident, helpful, and solution-oriented approach in day-to-day guest communication.
Candidate profile
The role suits someone with a warm manner, strong communication ability, and a genuine interest in building positive guest connections. Prior hotel reception experience is expected, along with the flexibility to adapt to varied front office tasks.
Eligibility and working conditions
- Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand for at least 1 year.
- The position requires availability for a rotating roster across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays.
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence is advantageous, though not mandatory.
