Job description
Role purpose
This leadership role oversees the communication research and analysis function. The position focuses on collecting and interpreting data, supporting communication and marketing planning, tracking performance, and preparing reports that help raise awareness of ZATCA and its services, participation, and engagement.
Strategy and planning
- Help shape the Awareness business plan so it stays aligned with ZATCA’s wider strategy.
- Build the operational plan for Communication Research and Analysis in line with the Awareness business plan and the Corporate Communications & Awareness strategic plan.
- Put plans into action and contribute ideas that help the function meet its goals and support ZATCA’s overall strategic direction.
Budget management
- Discuss budget needs for Communication Research and Analysis with senior management and contribute to the budgeting process.
- Use the allocated budget efficiently and provide accurate updates on progress and any obstacles.
- Explore and recommend initiatives that can improve financial outcomes while reducing financial and operational risks.
Data collection and analysis
- Oversee research and benchmarking studies at both local and global levels to identify current communication trends and proven practices that can improve tools, strategies, performance, and awareness campaigns.
- Lead research into best practices and target customer segments and behaviours to support ZATCA’s marketing strategy.
- Direct analytical and evaluation studies using modern tools to help decision-makers take new approaches to campaign launches and regulations.
- Identify suitable certifications and prestigious awards for ZATCA and manage the application process.
Planning, performance management, and reporting
- Guide the development of communication strategy and initiatives based on ZATCA’s overall strategy, objectives, best practices, and internal needs.
- Oversee annual planning for advertising and marketing campaigns, including objectives, rollout plans, timelines, target audiences, launch, and execution.
- Shape the marketing strategy, approach, policies, and processes so they align with ZATCA’s broader strategy and best practices.
- Define KPIs to measure communication performance across the organization and ensure communication and marketing objectives are achieved.
- Track the delivery of communication strategy, assess the impact of campaigns, events, and workshops across social media channels against KPIs, identify gaps, and drive improvements and corrective action.
- Spot possible media crises and risks, and coordinate rapid response plans with the relevant teams.
- Make sure identified issues, media crises, and corrective actions are handled quickly and effectively.
- Prepare personality analysis reports for attendees prior to the Governor’s receptions, ceremonies, and visits.
- Provide sentiment analysis for announcements and new regulations, including public opinions, feedback, and attitudes.
- Strengthen internal and external communication by collecting and analyzing information from multiple channels.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a similar field is required.
- A master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a similar field is preferred.
Experience
The role calls for up to 8 years of relevant experience, with 3 years preferred at managerial level.
