About The Ned Doha
The Ned Doha is a luxury hospitality destination located in Doha’s landmark former Ministry of Interior building. It combines historic character with modern elegance to deliver a distinctive guest experience.
The property features seven dining venues, 90 thoughtfully designed rooms, sophisticated event areas, and Ned’s Club — a private members’ club that includes a rooftop terrace, spa, gym, and a 30-metre outdoor pool.
Role Overview
This position is suited to a motivated pastry professional who wants to develop in a refined, fine-dining environment. As a Commis – Pastry, you will support the culinary team in producing high-quality desserts and baked items while strengthening your skills in luxury hospitality.
The opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about pastry, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a professional kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pastries, desserts, and baked products to a consistently high standard.
- Assist senior pastry chefs with everyday kitchen service and preparation.
- Keep the pastry section clean, orderly, and compliant with hygiene requirements.
- Work accurately with recipes, presentation instructions, and quality expectations.
- Build practical knowledge and technical ability in a fine-dining kitchen.
- Support the team in a positive, cooperative, and creative way.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience working as a Commis – Pastry in a luxury hotel or fine-dining setting.
- Foundational understanding of pastry methods, desserts, and baking processes.
- Strong enthusiasm for pastry work and a willingness to keep learning.
- Reliable work habits, a constructive attitude, and good teamwork.
- Ability to stay effective in a busy, fast-moving kitchen.
Compensation and Benefits
- Tax-free annual pay of QAR 24,000.
