Role overview
As a Commis I Chef in the pastry and bakery team at Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail, you will contribute to memorable guest experiences by preparing high-quality food items and helping deliver the warmth and care associated with exceptional hospitality.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare dishes and baked items in line with assigned recipes, portioning, and quality expectations.
- Handle guest orders promptly while supporting a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
- Work with more advanced menu items, manage station-level execution, monitor quality, and carry out inventory checks.
- Review finished dishes before service to ensure presentation and standards are consistently met.
- Keep work areas fully stocked, clean, and sanitary while following proper food storage, handling, and safety practices.
- Raise requisitions for food products and operating supplies when replenishment is required.
- Follow health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness rules to protect guests and team members.
